Young Activists at Travel Ban Protest

NYC, February 29, 2017

On Friday, January 27, 2017, President Donald Trump put an order into effect that banned people from seven predominantly Muslim countries from visiting the United States for 90 days. The order also suspended entry by all Syrian refugees indefinitely and all other refugees for 120 days.

Protestors in New York demonstrated at John F. Kennedy International Airport on February 28. Protests continued in Battery Park on February 29, where almost 10,000 attended, and many parents brought their children. This body of work focuses on the younger generation to show the sentiment of the crowds.
